Dance Auditions

Are you ready for this? Are you up for a challenge? On April 15, 2007 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM the VI Raiders Cheerleading Dance Team is holding auditions.

Since winning the 2006 CJFL Canadian Bowl last November, the VI Raiders have decided to extend their family by creating a cheerleading dance team!

Having been involved in the Nanaimo Dance community for many years, Irene Booth Owner and Director of Tempo Dance Academy is very excited to be part of this great organization! Associate Genevieve Caron, a former Montreal Alouette Cheerleader for the past seven years is undertaking the position as head coach and choreographer.

The VI Raiders Dance Team is expecting a large crowd of women for the auditions scheduled to take place at the Dorchestor Hotel.

The Raiders are looking for energetic candidates of at least 18 years of age with dance and or gymnastic experience. Interested girls must also show good people skills because of the numerous promotional appearances they will be expected to make throughout the season. The candidates are also expected to have a strong interest in the community and community activities.
